1. Personal Information Collection, Use & Sharing

Provides clear meanings for key terms used throughout the Agreement to ensure consistent interpretation by all parties. Examples include “Authorized Users” (those permitted to use Ribbiot’s services), “Deliverables” (all software, hardware, or documentation provided under the Agreement), and “Order Form” (the document describing services and pricing).

Ribbiot will not sell, rent, exchange, or share personal information with any third parties without permission or except as described in this privacy policy. Ribbiot will share personal information with government authorities and others in order to respond to investigations, court orders, and legal processes, or to investigate, prevent or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, or situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of Ribbiot’ terms of service, or as otherwise required by law. If Ribbiot is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our website of any such change in ownership or uses of your personal information, as well as any choices you may have regarding your personal information.

Ribbiot may also anonymize and aggregate data collected and use and disclose it for general purposes.

Ribbiot is committed to ensuring transparency in how personal information is collected, used, and shared as part of our services. This section outlines the types of personal data we collect, the purposes for which it is used, and the circumstances under which it may be shared. Our data practices are designed to facilitate seamless operations while upholding privacy, security, and compliance with applicable laws.

As part of Ribbiot’s Operations Management Platform, certain functionalities require access to user data, including location and device connectivity. This enables essential features such as resource tracking, job site navigation, and equipment visibility. Below, we detail the scope of data collection and the measures we take to ensure user privacy and control.

A
Location and Bluetooth Usage

To provide essential tracking and operational functionalities, Ribbiot requires users to enable location services (GPS) and Bluetooth on their mobile devices. These services are integral to the functionality of Ribbiot’s platform and its associated hardware.

B
Location Services

Ribbiot uses real-time location data to update job site tracking, enhance equipment visibility, and provide users with relevant operational updates. Enabling GPS allows users to accurately receive job site details, mapping functionality, and operational updates related to their assigned tasks. Location data may also be used to improve operational analytics and ensure efficient resource deployment.

C
Bluetooth Connectivity

Ribbiot requires Bluetooth access to detect and communicate with Ribbiot’s proprietary hardware devices. This enables the system to accurately update the location of equipment trackers when a user’s mobile device is within range.

D
Operational Dependence

Disabling either GPS or Bluetooth will impair core features such as equipment tracking, job site mapping, and location-based updates. Users will be notified if these services are turned off, as they are essential for the platform’s intended functionality.

E
Privacy & Compliance

Ribbiot does not use location data for any purpose outside of operational tracking and functionality. Location data is not continuously tracked in the background unless the app is actively in use for designated job functions. Users may manage their location and Bluetooth permissions through their device settings, but opting out will impact critical functionalities.

F
By using the Ribbiot mobile application, users acknowledge and consent to the necessity of enabling location services and Bluetooth to facilitate key operational capabilities.
